AESTHETIC DENTISTRY

PORCELAIN VENEERS

Porcelain veneers are non-removable prosthetic restorations of very small thickness and are placed on the front side of the tooth. In contrast to crowns, they do not cover the whole tooth and they are much more conservative when it comes to removing tooth material. Porcelain veneers are used to treat discoloration and to restore the shape and form of teeth.

Porcelain as selected material gives an excellent aesthetic result, does not absorb color and it is considered as a very durable material.

COMPOSITE VENEERS

The difference between composite veneers and porcelain veneers is that the former are being made by the dentist directly and have composite resin as selected material. They are also very conservative with tooth destruction and have a lower cost. The disadvantage is that they have lower durability as they may be stained over time due to resin and, thus, may need to be replaced regularly.

FULL CERAMIC CROWNS

These are used when there is more tooth lost and cover the whole tooth. They also provide an excellent aesthetic result for front teeth as the selected material used is porcelain.

AESTHETIC DIRECT RESTORATIONS (FILLINGS)

They restore or improve, in a conservative way, natural teeth which may have problems with dental cavities, or old fillings, or in cases where we want to improve the shape, colour or size of the teeth.
